\n\nThe U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its 5,000 sailors and Marines are heading home after a record-setting uninterrupted time at sea and reports of crew stress and poor mental health.
\n\nThe USS Abraham Lincoln is being relieved by the USS George Washington. CENTCOM said on social media that the carrier arrived in the region Wednesday.
\n\nAn arrival home for the USS Abraham Lincoln has not been released, but the journey takes just over a month and the ship could make a port stop along the way.
\n\nThe USS Abraham Lincoln, based out of Naval Station San Diego, began a scheduled seven-month deployment to the Indo-Pacific region on November 21, 2025. The carrier was later redirected to support Middle East operations and the war with Iran, with the mission being extended indefinitely.
