\n\nA Texas woman watched in astonishment as an Amazon drone dropped her package into her backyard swimming pool.
\n\nLindsey Austen of Richmond, Texas, said she received an Alert that her package was out for delivery via drone delivery in Amazon’s Prime Air program.
\n\nAfter hearing the drone’s loud buzzing, she went outside and saw the drone open its hatch and drop the package down in the pool.
\n\n"When it went into the pool, I was shocked," she said. "I don’t think I’ll be wanting any more drone deliveries."
\n\nA spokesperson for Amazon released a statement to FOX 26 Houston on Thursday following the drone mishap.
\n\n"Prime Air provides customers with fast, reliable delivery across a broad selection of products and the response from customers using Prime Air has been overwhelmingly positive. Incidents are extremely rare, and when a delivery doesn’t go as planned, we learn from it to improve the experience and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future," the spokesperson said.
