DALLAS – An American Airlines flight landed safely at DFW Airport Friday evening after smoke was reported from a passenger's device during landing, the airline said.

Flight 2398, coming from Atlanta to DFW, was able to taxi to the gate under its own power where it was met by emergency crews.

\n\n

One person was treated at the scene and was released.

\n\n

"American Airlines flight 2398 landed safely at DFW after reports of smoke from a customer’s device during landing," an airline spokesperson said. "We thank our crew for their professionalism and swift response to quickly contain the device."

Airline officials did not confirm what type of device was involved.
