The murder trial regarding the killing of rapper Tupac Shakur began in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, nearly 30 years after his death. Duane "Keffe D" Davis is accused of masterminding the drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas strip in 1996. He is charged with a single count of murder using a deadly weapon. He has pleaded not guilty. Nearly 30 years after rapper Tupac Shakur was gunned down in a drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas Strip, the trial for the man accused of orchestrating the killing got underway Monday.

Duane "Keffe D" Davis, 63, is charged with murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang in the rapper’s death. He has pleaded not guilty and if he is convicted, Davis faces life in prison.
