The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) officially start car recalls after receiving complaints from consumers.
\n\nKettle Cuisine LLC is recalling more than 3,000 packs of its Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit after routine company testing produced a presumptive positive result for listeria monocytogenes – an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in pregnant people and newborns, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
\n\nThe company’s recall notice was published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Aug. 13.
\n\nThe recall affects 3,240 packs of Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit, 14 ounces (397 grams), with a UPC number 194346474004 and a best-by/use-by date of Aug. 22, 2026. The product is packaged in a wrapped tray.
\n\nThe recalled tomato soup kits were sold exclusively at select Walmart stores in 29 states between June 30 and July 7, the FDA said. No confirmed illnesses have been reported in connection with the product.
