Alisa Goods, a grandmother from New York City who went missing in Las Vegas, has been found dead, according to her family.

NEW YORK – Alisa Goods, a grandmother from New York City who went missing in Las Vegas, has been found dead, her family confirmed to FOX 5 NY.

\n\n

"Our hearts are broken. We were notified that my aunt was found—unfortunately, not the way we wanted her to be. This is an unimaginable time. Words cannot describe the pain our family is experiencing right now," Goods' niece, Alana Calloway, said in a statement Friday.

Goods, 63, disappeared while on vacation about two weeks ago, shortly after her family said they started receiving suspicious text messages from her phone.

\n\n

She was reportedly staying with a friend, Roger John, who said she left his apartment to go to a store, possibly CVS, and never returned. John reached out to her family, who then instructed him to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
